Wall Art Installation

Check out our latest install in Central London last week. All printed on Innova Art’s Youtac Repositionable textile.

It all started with a concept for a piece of wall art for an organization, who wanted to thank members of their team while interacting with a design. We came up with a design that helped them achieve this, using there branded colours to make it more personalised to their floor.

Innova Art’s Youtac product produces stunning print quality while actually making the installation very free flowing. All information can be found on the product website below;

Below check out our installation team in full flow and finished end result.

Another very happy customer… Please fell free to get in touch if you wish to discuss any projects for the future.

David Hockney – 82 portraits and 1 Still Life

Tuesday night we had the opportunity to visit David Hockney private view of his latest exhibition at the Royal Academy “82 Portraits and 1 Still Life”, the 82 Portraits took David 2 years, 3 days to each Portrait.

“His subjects – all friends, family and acquaintances – include office staff, fellow artists, curators and gallerists such as John Baldessari and Larry Gagosian. Each work is the same size, showing his sitter in the same chair, against the same vivid blue background and all were painted in the same time frame of three days. Yet Hockney’s virtuoso paint handling allows their differing personalities to leap off the canvas with warmth and immediacy”.-Royal Academy

It was fascinating to see those who he had painted, and to speak with them regarding there experience. Jim Mchugh, a famous photographer from LA, who happens to be an Innova Art user explained the experience wonderfully; “David was always promptly ready to start the day at 9am ready to get going, David just loves what he does” This was very evident that night, and those who were pictured were proudly standing by their portraits speaking of their experience. (Of course some chose to be a little more shy about the experience.)

But as a whole the night was an inspiring one, that had many happy and famous faces enjoying the night. Congratulations to David Hockney on his recent work, and once again thank you for sharing the evening with us…..

Andy Rosen ‘The End of Generation X’

Check out the images from our latest show with Proud Gallery, showcasing the stunning photography of Andy Rosen. ‘The End of Generation X’ is running from 11th june -19th July 2015 and features unseen images from the early Punk era.

A young Boy George pre Culture Club working the cloakroom at Soho’s Blitz Club, outtakes from the cover shoot for The Jam’s ‘Setting Sons’ album, a slew of live shots of The Clash at the cusp of the band’s explosion onto the punk scene and intimate portraits of Johnny Rotten are among the many photographs that are to be exhibited publicly for the first time.

Print Post were able to capture the 35mm negatives, that had been in storage since the early 1980s, by scanning them in with an Imacon Scanner. We were able to maintain the grain in the images and after a couple days had the beautiful end results which you can see for yourself at Proud Gallery, Camden.

Proud Gallery (Camden) can be found at: The Horse Hospital, The Stables Market, Camden Market, Chalk Farm Road, London NW1 8AH.

Unable to make it to the gallery? Check the images out online at www.proudonline.co.uk

Wallpaper – Themed and Branded Meeting Rooms

Our latest project demonstrates another example of the high end quality service we can offer in terms of interior corporate decor. We designed, printed, and installed 5 spectacular meeting rooms for a recent corporate client.

The process starts with just a simple concept that is followed up by our fine creative team, who then start designing possible options for the customer. The designs are all created digitally and set up in the room environment with correct dimensions such as below;

Once the customer has given approval of the design it’s down to us to create this custom wall covering to their exact specifications. As this particular client rents their office space, we decided to go for the repositionable textile option which allows the wall covering to be removed with no mess and no fuss at any point.

We then install the wallpaper within the given time frame. Weekend or night work if best suits. The customer then ends up with an end result as such;

This project has been a huge success and we are now extremely excited for future projects. Please get in touch for any enquiries.

Minimalist Print With Frame Free Displays

Eclectic-SizesRegimented-StyleWe have all seen the recent trends in home decor for minimalist, no fuss displays – a great way to display you images, make an impact and save on the costs associated with framing. One of the trends is frame free display, something that is easy to create using our Photo Panels…

All you need to do is decide on a layout, then simply upload each image to the correct size Photo Panel and we’ll send you your prints ready to hang!

Why not use one of the two layouts shown as a starting point? For a true minimalist print effect try using Photo Panels with white edges or, if you want to go more monochrome, mix things up a bit with both black and white edged Photo Panels. Use a selection of rectangular and square Photo Panels in a cluster arrangement to create an eclectic feel or stick with a modern theme and use a grid to place your Panels on the wall for in a more regimented look.

To get started visit our Photo Panel page for a full list of sizes.

When you receive your order why not share your creation with the world by tweeting a photo @PrintPostUK
